Orphéon EDP

A clean, powdery woody built on juniper. Juniper berries open it crisp and a little green, then jasmine softens it into something smooth and polished. The base is powdery cedar and tonka bean: dry wood with a soft, warm sweetness underneath. Diptyque named it after the Orphéon, a Paris bar next door to its original Saint-Germain boutique, where the founders used to meet. It smells refined rather than loud, like fresh laundry, old wood panelling and a well-kept room. It works equally well on anyone, and it's an easy one to reach for when you can't decide what to wear. Wear it: daily, year-round. Office-safe, and just as good on weekends. Expect: good projection and long wear. It leaves a soft powdery trail that lingers in a room.
