Irish Leather

A green, aromatic leather built on juniper and maté. Juniper berries, pepper and mandarin open it sharp and bright, a little like gin. Then maté, clary sage and iris take it somewhere herbal and slightly powdery. The base is a soft leather with cedarwood and vetiver: smooth, dry and earthy rather than dark or smoky. Memo Paris made it as a nod to co-founder John Molloy's childhood in rural Ireland: cold mornings, wet grass, stables and saddle leather. It smells more green than leathery at first, with the leather coming through as it dries down. It's crisp, outdoorsy and polished, and unlike anything else in the collection. Wear it: daytime, work, weekends. Best in spring and autumn, and especially good on cool, grey days. Expect: strong opening, then moderate projection and long wear. The leather settles closer to the skin as it dries down. Try it if you like: green and herbal scents, juniper and gin-like freshness, soft suede leathers, anything fresh that still has some grit.
