A creamy fruity floral built on pear and incense. Pear and hazelnut open it with a thread of frankincense running underneath, then it moves into a heart of osmanthus, rose, jasmine sambac and a touch of saffron. The base is sandalwood, vanilla, akigalawood, ambergris and labdanum: warm, powdery and a little resinous. This is Amouage's classic rose, frankincense and ambergris signature made approachable. The incense keeps the pear from turning sweet, and the osmanthus adds a soft, apricot-like glow. It starts bright and fruity, then dries down to creamy sandalwood and vanilla that clings to skin and clothes. This is the kind of scent that leaves a trail and gets asked about. Wear it: evenings, occasions, cooler months. Go light, since one or two sprays is plenty and it can crowd a small space like an office or a plane. Expect: strong projection, very long wear.
